This Privacy Policy explains how KIM MIN SU / TBF ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the To Be Free mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
a) Location data (precise). The App's core feature reveals a fog-covered map based on where you go. We collect your device's precise GPS location while you use the App. If you enable Background tracking in Settings (it is off by default), the App also collects location while running in the background so your route is recorded when the App is not open. You can turn this off at any time in the App or your device settings.
b) Account information. If you sign in with Google Sign-In, we receive your email address and a Google account identifier to authenticate you. You may also create a nickname, which is shown to other players on the public leaderboard.
c) Game / exploration data. Your exploration progress is stored on your device and, if you sign in, backed up to our servers. Your nickname and completion percentage are published on a public leaderboard visible to other users.
d) Advertising data. We show ads through Google AdMob, which may collect your advertising identifier, IP address, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads.
e) Device and usage data. Through Google services (Firebase), we may collect device information (model, OS version, language), app usage, and crash diagnostics.
To provide the core map-exploration gameplay and save your progress; to authenticate you and display leaderboards; to show and measure advertisements; and to maintain, secure, and improve the App and diagnose problems.
Under the GDPR, we process your data based on your consent (e.g., location tracking, personalized ads where required), the performance of our service (providing gameplay you request), and our legitimate interests (security, app improvement, non-personalized ads). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
In the European Economic Area and the UK, we use Google's User Messaging Platform to request your consent for data used in advertising before ads are personalized. You can change your choice at any time. Learn how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers that operate the App: Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting) and Google AdMob (advertising). These providers process data under Google's privacy terms: policies.google.com/privacy
We keep your account, nickname, leaderboard, and backup data for as long as your account exists. Location data is used to update your map and is not retained as a separate location history on our servers beyond what is needed to render your exploration. You can request deletion at any time (Section 8).
Our providers (Google) may process data on servers located outside your country, including outside the EEA. Such transfers are safeguarded under mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights or delete your account and data, contact us at tigerjkms@gmail.com.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We use reasonable technical measures (including access-restricted database rules and encrypted transfers) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date, and where required, we will seek your consent again.
